Section 1: Vine Wreath

1.  Use grape vines or other sturdy garden vines that need to be pruned.

2  Soak vines over night to make vines plyable.

3.  Weave vines into a circle shape.  Use raffia to tie ends of vines into the wreath if necessary.  Allow wreath to dry completely.

4.  Spray paint the vine wreath (optional).

5.  Add a wire loop to back for hanging the wreath.

Section 2: Decorations

A: Pine Cone Flowers

1.  Break or cut pine cones horizontally along the main stem.

2.  Paint the cross-section pieces to resemble real or imaginary flowers.

3.  Allow "flowers" to dry and attach to vine wreath with glue and/or wire.

B: Paper-Bag Leaves

1.  Find some attractively shaped leaves.  You only need about three because you can reuse them over and over.

2. Cut a brown grocery bag along the seams so that it lies flat.

3.  Place a leaf under the brown bag.

4.  Peel a crayon and holding it sideways rub over the paper in the place that covers the leaf.

5.  A leaf shape will appear.

6. Cut out the leaf shape from the brown paper.

7.  Paint the leaf (Water color gives a nice effect)

8.  When dry bend and shape the leaves to look more three dimensional

9.  Add paper leaves to the wreath.

Optional:  Finish with a fabric or raffia bow.
